Saturday Morning Prayer

We at believe that the community and THE church have a mandate to pray for this city. There is a tremondous level of power when we come together in unity. We invite you to 2627 44th Street to pray with area churches for our city at 8am.

We believe that God would have us to seek His face in this hour. If we are to show the world who Jesus is then we must first know Him ourselves. Prayer has to do with spending time with God. It has to do with communicating with Him and hearing His response. We are called as believers to have an intimate walk with God. He desires relationship with us. It is imperative that we realize God answers prayer. He answers the prayers of the righteous! James 5:16 declares, "The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective." We cannot live any kind of life and expect God to answer us.

We are also called to stand in the gap for others. Isaiah 22:31 says, "I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found none." This form of prayer is called intercession. We are called as Christians to intercede for the lost. We are called to stand in the gap for our cities and nations. Then I believe we will begin to see the manifestation of Jesus' prayer in Matthew 6:10, "...your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven."
